~Random thoughts during Bali trip~

Having few days vacation in Bali, I am thankful everything was just very fine, with friendly driver cum tour guide, warm service from the people here, even when they were always trying to sell something or promoting in their local and traditional market, I am actually feeling ok with their aggressive way of selling, hahax:) Thinking of I can see by myself how they live their lives, their stong believe in religion, their culture, the way they speak, the way they earn their livings, this trip is going to be a special and interesting trip as most often, we see more people more than their remarkable buildings or monumens. This is instead a very nice experience for me:) Went through their local markets, there are so many markets over here, mostly selling handicrafts, art works, paintings, souvenier, batik and etc. Badically they sell quite the same thing among all the shops. One interesting habit here in the market is Bargaining. Depends on how well you are, you can actually bargain to up to 70% off sometimes. The people here are good at bargaining with tourist, start with an unbelievable expensive and they welcome you to bargain. Is like playing game and see who will give way. However, sometimes they are having very hot temper, they scold if you don't buy. Came across some shops , the ladies serve only European, thinking maybe they look down on us when we ask them question in Malay. Feel disappointed and definitely bad experience when they demand us to give way to European customers while we have to exit using another side which is actually far away. We did not argue, though I think we have the right, but just not to make it big, we keep quiet and go. The ladies exposed themselves as a short-sighted character, not educated or professional at all, pricing people by looking only at their skin, one word for them ~ cheap! Sometimes, maybe, they forgot their own position and they totally did not aware they are actually speaking in Bahasa too:) Brilliant for them:) A little bit of bad experience dfinitely would not spoilt my mood:) Still, the beautiful beaches and wonderful water sport activities would have made me mussed Bali a lot!!!:)
